May 12, 200521 yr Hi all, I want to know from the people that have the patch if they are happy with the outcome. I have yet to install it and wonder if i should try. How many have the patch and how many rather use the sim without it?Thanks,Bill Asus Tuf Gaming Plus B550 - Ryzen 7 5800X3D - Asus GeForce 4080 RTX OC Edition - 64GB DDR4 (3600Mhz) - EVGA 850W Power Supply - 2X 1 TB NVME PCIE gen 4 - Windows 11 (25H2)
May 12, 200521 yr You may get a wider response if you post in the MSFS forum. I added the patch and although I wasn't in urgent need of having it, it did spice up some areas by adding some of the bridges back. It had no negative impact on the simming experience, and I didn't receive CTD's prior to it having updated my terrain.cfg per a post on the issue. I wouldn't waste any time trying to remove the patch--I guess I'll put it that way.-John
May 12, 200521 yr works fine. No reason not to use it. Slight performance and stability improvement. Not enough to be noticable under most conditions but in critical areas it helps a bit.
May 12, 200521 yr No problems here. I would recommend that if you plan on installing it, get the readme from the MS site, read it, and follow the instructions. Do that, and it installs just fine, no problems. And the sim runs fine with it. If you find something in the readme you do not understand, then ask questions here. Lots of folks can help. May 12, 200521 yr I think I remember the famous Chris Willis posting instructions on what to restore from the CD's? The Module directory and a few others before you run the patch. I did a fresh install then installed the patch and am extremely happy with the auto-gen bug being much less obvious, no crashes, and smooth performance even though my frames are hovering around 20-30 most of the time with full graphics settings and 100% ai
May 12, 200521 yr Thanks guys..I havnt done anything crazy to the fs config file but add the old module stuff. Downloading the patch as I write.Bill Asus Tuf Gaming Plus B550 - Ryzen 7 5800X3D - Asus GeForce 4080 RTX OC Edition - 64GB DDR4 (3600Mhz) - EVGA 850W Power Supply - 2X 1 TB NVME PCIE gen 4 - Windows 11 (25H2)
May 12, 200521 yr Well, if you are using one of the no-cd exe files, then get rid of it and restore the original Fs9.exe file from the CD. Same for any original module files that might have been replaced by add-ons. Otherwise, "There will be trouble in River City tonight". Paul
May 12, 200521 yr I had no problems with the patch. I just applied it without re-istalling anything. After installation, it warned me that FSUIPC was out of date and I just downloaded the latest version and away I went. Gerry Howard
