May 12, 200521 yr Could anyone who has it comment on what they think so far? Can you compare it to some other addons (knowing that this is more of a lite / express tyep of product)?
May 12, 200521 yr This is a worthless package. Made the mistake of buying both (A320/321/330), just installed the A320. Not is it a simplistic rendition of the flight dynamics of an A320, but the panel graphics and the virtual cockpit graphics are completely substandard. Even worse than the already not too great and rapidly aging interior graphics of the PSS Airbus family.Clearly, this product is aimed at the flightsimming "down" market, but it looks like a hastily put together package, under the direction of a 13 year old kid who got a trial version of Adobe Photoshop Lite. If you don't have the airbusses from PSS already, buy those, or if you don't have the cash put together a freeware model. This Aerosoft atrocity is going to fly off of my harddisk faster than nekkid pictures of Grandma Applecrust. Ricardo
May 12, 200521 yr Yikes! I have the Aerosoft / Eurowings A320/321 but it is FS2002 based and the FMC text went funny for me, I think I'll try and get that one working again, it was pretty good.
May 13, 200521 yr Actually looking over it again, it does seem to be more like what I want than the PSS airbuses. Button clicking isn't really my thing - I just like to fly so I think I will try out this package.
May 13, 200521 yr David, if you just want to jump in and fly it's great. Comes with a ton of liveries and the exterior model and panel are ok. If you want a break from the "systems" type of aircraft and check out some scenery or new airports or just have fun it'll do it. billg
May 13, 200521 yr Bill that sounds exactly like what I'm looking for sometimes. I do enjoy the big procedural sims from time to time - I also enjoy just hopping in a 152 and doing circuits. So I fly almost everything depending how I feel at the time, I think I'll pick this up today, thanks for the comments.
May 13, 200521 yr David, as I recall the airbus autopilot is a little different in that it has "push pull" buttons, but a quick read of the right page in the manual will get you over that. Have fun!billg
May 13, 200521 yr David I just bought this package last night and it's terrible. It's like the Freeware A318 VC version. The difference here is the VC is not fully clickable and totally out of scale. The Visual model is all wrong (wrong engine and tail size, etc.). The paints aren't scaled correctly meaning icons on the Northwest liveries for example have the wrong size and position for logos. This package is a total mess. I hope I've gotten to you before you've purchased it. Aerosoft has an older 2D panel A320 series that's actually acceptable for a 2D version but this new offering is a mess to say the least... May 13, 200521 yr Actually I just installed their older Eurowings Airbus which I already own - the reason I stopped using it was the FMC stopped working for me but I fixed that up (switched to windowed mode). The Eurowings is a great model - a bit more involved but I should figure it out again quickly enough.
