May 13, 200521 yr Hi, I'm currently using the CH USB throttle and whenever I apply reverse thrust using the F2 key I can see the throttle jumping around because it is fighting the inputs from the USB throttle. Is there way to somehow solve the contention between the throttle and the keyboard so that I can apply full reverse thrust without it immediately jumping back to idle? Thank you.
May 13, 200521 yr Make sure the CH throttle is well-calibrated under WIndows and in a position (at Idle) where it doesn't jitter. If that doesn't help, add a small NullZone for the throttle axis via menu Options-Controls-Sensitivities,Rob

Regarding jitter, I did notice, that when set to idle, the throttle levers are jittery on the screen. Does that pose some kind of problem?I will also try the nullzone suggestion. Thank you.
May 13, 200521 yr Are you using the latest version of FSUIPC? I calibrate my CH throttle quadrant using FSUIPC.Scott :-)
May 13, 200521 yr >Are you using the latest version of FSUIPC? I calibrate my CH>throttle quadrant using FSUIPC.>>Scott :-)How did you calibrate your CH throttle with FSUIPC? Do I need the registered version of FSUIPC in order to do that? Thank you.
May 13, 200521 yr Hi,Yes. Any jitter will eliminate the reverse thrust capability. I calibrate mine just a little off the bottom stop, so I get no jitter at all when at idle. Increasing the null zone may also help, as described above.Hope this helps,--Tom GibsonCal Classic Propliner Page: http://www.calclassic.comFreeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.comDrop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___ Tom Gibson CalClassic Propliner Page
May 13, 200521 yr I can't answer the registration requirement since I have the full version, now 3.48.What I wanted to bring out is that is also has axis filtering and spike removal to relieve some of the jumping part is what is apparently caused by the nature of the USB interface.Be sure to read the User Guide fully about joystick adjustments. If you are using the CH Control Manager included with those products, there is some control there for calibration. I do not use it any more because quite some time ago for me it was a bit flaky.
May 13, 200521 yr Yes, the registered version is required to access the joystick/controller calibration function.Paul
