Just curious, there are times when I have to keep uninstalling and reinstalling due to some problem or other, and I'd just like to know.

Nope, if you submit a ticket, they'll reset your ativation count. Its purely to prevent piracy. Unless your key is activated in a short period al over the world(piracy), it wont be a problem as far as I know.
