New P3 Orion - Throttle levers not showing !

Featured Replies

Like many of you Im enjoying scuttling around in this great new freeware Orion. Hats off to the authors for this MPA!May I tap fellow Avsimmers knowledge on a small issue: the throttle levers are not showing in 2D-panel mode :(All guage files are in the correct location . I just unzipped the plane, pointed the installer to a temp file and then moved the plane into FS9Aircraft. Everything else is fine...its just the throttle not appearing.Could someone please advice? Thanks much :)http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/116899.jpg

I just did a reinstall...still wont work:(I cant figure it out...

try installing the package to a directory like c:temp then cut and pasting the files where they should go. Mine show up fine as well

Hello Alex, yes I did exactly what you mentioned but still no luck. Its really baffling :(Where did you all download your P3 from? Perhaps I need to get an updated version..or a fix? But I think I've done something wrong...or Im missing the throttle guages...but everything else is working fine. First time I've had this sort of problem....wierdness.Thx for trying to help!

I downloaded it from the creators site and I let it install it's self with the EXE, something I hate doing but you know how it is sometimes.....http://flightinfo.ens.ne.jp/FS_KBT/d_y_a.htm

spookymufu-Thanx for posting that link! I shall try downloading it from there :)

no prob! Hope it helps you

I,too, had problems loading the plane. Even using the auto installer and directing it to my FS9 folder, after going through the installation, did not show up in the FS9 folder. So I did what others did and installed to another folder and copied the P-3C_GMAX file into the FS9 aircraft file. Showed up fine then, except I don't have the VC view. The 'model.VC' folder is in the main folder of the A/C. So what is the problem here? The instructions are poorly written, I must say. Also, on their web site, there is a texture file called: "p3msdftexfix.zipJMSDF Texture Fix

I had no problems at all. Did you check your panel.cfg against the gauges and cab files in the panel folder? Do you have the throttle_background.bmp in the panel folder? You should have F16.gau, and three cab gauge files. Are they all there? Hope this helps. Regards, Bob.

Do a search on google for concorde gauge and add this gauge to your gauge folder. The four thrust levers, four engine switches and master warning light should show up.

You are right. I never realized they were Concorde gauges. I already had them. He should be in good shape after getting that gauge file. Regards, Bob.
