Terrain Mesh Question

Featured Replies

Hi community,

I am looking for some advice regarding the best type of mesh that I can purchase for flying in the UK and Europe, this is where I do most of my flying. Currently I have installed:

FS Genisis Europe and Africa ver 1.2

FTX Global

Additional add on sceneries

I was very particular about the order in which I installed these, but in a lot of Europe, the scenery still appears to be too 'flat', especially England, Wales, and France. Within the sim, my current scenery settings are:

Mesh Complexity: 75

Mesh Resolution: 5 metres

I've seen screenshots of Justflight VFR England (That looks right to me) but I'm not sure about coverage for the rest of Europe, and whether it will play nicely with FTX Global.

Can anybody offer some advice please?

Many thanks,

Andrew.

Kind regards,

Andrew.

Pilot's Global Extreme for worldwide mesh.

VFR England is photoscenery not mesh and will take priority over FTX Global.

Many thanks for the advice. :-)

I may contact Justflight though, to find out how they got so many hills and valleys into their screenshots. Unless there has been some BRILLIANT post editing been done.......lol.

Thanks,

Andrew.

Kind regards,

Andrew.

Thanks for everybody's advice, great as usual.

Seems to me that to get the best results, I should reinstall FSX and add:

Pilots Extreme Mesh for Europe

David's Mesh as mentioned above.

FTX Global

FTX England, Scotland, and Wales.

Should be in FSX heaven then........lol.

Andrew.

Kind regards,

Andrew.
