January 17, 201511 yr Hi Vernon, My laptop is an Asus LED backlit LCD panel. If it's backlit anything like your desktop display, it washes differently that most other displays. Not sure why, but that backlight can drive the colors and saturation crazy, unlike my Dells and Samsung. Even from machine-to-machine, the settings or profiles would be different. Start with the native Windows brightness setting under "display". Then turn to the nvidia control panel and calibrate. For day and night, you can use different color profiles, but I stick with one. Also, try Googling "calibrize". It worked great for the final touch-up of color and gamma. PS: Will be using a Sony 600B 47" on HDMI for the new cockpit. It was cheaper than replacing a good monitor! I wouldn't want to type much on it, but for a dedicated cockpit, I liked the deal on this one. ...No 4K and no 3D Best Regards, Mark i7 10700KF 3.8gHz -125W air cooled, 500W PSU, 4070 Dual OC 12GB, 32GB 3200, 43" P4317Q Redbird Alloy RD1, Honeycomb Alpha, Bravo, Stream Deck, Quest 3
January 17, 201511 yr Author Thanks for the reply. I just messed about with the nvidia settings and got it clear for day and night. It was night that was the problem, it was so dark. I'll google that calibrize cheers Vernon Howells
