January 13, 201511 yr Hello I would want of the help(assistant) because I have a problem with the WEATHER RADAR , I settle(adjust) well everything, but the radar does not work I use active sky next for the weather report
January 13, 201511 yr Amazing screens Is there any weather to show? The radar shows precipitation not clouds, so make sure there is precipitation present.. I suggest you read the sections in the manual and on the pmdg website about the wx radar as it contains troubleshooting.
January 13, 201511 yr Author Thank you, then the meteo radar walks(works) that when has of the rain there or some snow, but when has clouds there its walking(step) not?
January 14, 201511 yr Im not sure of what you are saying (which is ok) My interpretation is that you are saying that it should work when there is rain (then the meteo radar walks(works) that when has of the rain there or some snow), and not when there is clouds with not precipitation then it shouldn't show it (when has clouds there its walking(step) not?) Which is the basic concept of it.. so yes.. Try searching for an metar which has precipitation and go scan with the WX radar there, should give you an result... You can also use the ASN map in detail mode to look for weather
January 16, 201511 yr Thank you, then the meteo radar walks(works) that when has of the rain there or some snow, but when has clouds there its walking(step) not? Hi Ben? Welcome to the PMDG Forum. Lots of great advice here. One of the rules in this forum is to sign your real name so your posts don't get removed.... Can you get the radar to "test" sweep" Because the 777 weather radar reports on rain and turbulence, I would use ASN weather search feature to search for rain and thunderstorms. Use the supplied airport with rain and storms to create a simple ASN flight plan and save it. Then re-position your 777 to the airport indicated which has "bad" weather. Make sure you lock your ASN weather to <90kms and to the aircraft. As Jonas above said, use the ASN map to check out the storm and then make sure you fly 'into' the storm. You need'nt set up the FMC too much, just take off into the storm area. Make sure you turn on the WXR button, and set the radar to auto. If you still can not sort it out, submit a support ticket, the guys at PMDG will fix you up very quickly. Regards Geoff Bryce
