January 15, 201511 yr The Garmin 530 works ok in the Milviz 310, no crashes no problems (I have just started to use it, so no expert, on how much realistic is ) What is the difference with the Mindstar 530?
January 18, 201511 yr The Mindstar 530 is more feature-rich, including WAAS (which allows you to fly certain RNAV approaches that include vertical guidance, i.e. LPV). If you want to keep your Mindstar GPS nav database current and fly those WAAS approaches, then you'll have to purchase annual navdata subscriptions. On the other hand, the GPS that you are currently using is based on the default unit that comes with FSX/P3D. It has only basic features and it uses default 2006 navdata that comes with FSX/P3D. Hope this helps.
