January 17, 201511 yr Hey guys, I been having issues with ezdok addon lately it has been driving me insane. The problem is that none of the cameras switch when triggering it via the configured controls I have selected (taking in mind that I have remove the following keys: Shift+A, Shift+S, S, A, up, down, left, right, page up and page down keys to operate the addon on fsx. However this was not the solution, it had made no change what so ever so I decided to check the event logs and surprisingly I received an application error from EZdok, I wasn't sure if this was the cause of the addon not working in the sim so could anyone please help me out ! I really want to use this camera addon for fsx. Below is the error log : Log Name: Application Source: Application Error Date: 17/01/2015 9:20:56 PM Event ID: 1000 Task Category: (100) Level: Error Keywords: Classic User: N/A Computer: TomNguyen Description: Faulting application name: EZCA.exe, version: 1.1.7.0, time stamp: 0x2a425e19 Faulting module name: unknown, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x00000000 Exception code: 0xc0000005 Fault offset: 0xf6470000 Faulting process ID: 0x14e0 Faulting application start time: 0x01d0323f0a9b5210 Faulting application path: C:\Program Files (x86)\EZCA\EZCA.exe Faulting module path: unknown Report ID: 85b447d5-9e32-11e4-bf0f-bc5ff4a39b33 Faulting package full name: Faulting package-relative application ID: Event Xml: <Event xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/win/2004/08/events/event"> <System> <Provider Name="Application Error" /> <EventID Qualifiers="0">1000</EventID> <Level>2</Level> <Task>100</Task> <Keywords>0x80000000000000</Keywords> <TimeCreated SystemTime="2015-01-17T10:20:56.000000000Z" /> <EventRecordID>44620</EventRecordID> <Channel>Application</Channel> <Computer>TomNguyen</Computer> <Security /> </System> <EventData> <Data>EZCA.exe</Data> <Data>1.1.7.0</Data> <Data>2a425e19</Data> <Data>unknown</Data> <Data>0.0.0.0</Data> <Data>00000000</Data> <Data>c0000005</Data> <Data>f6470000</Data> <Data>14e0</Data> <Data>01d0323f0a9b5210</Data> <Data>C:\Program Files (x86)\EZCA\EZCA.exe</Data> <Data>unknown</Data> <Data>85b447d5-9e32-11e4-bf0f-bc5ff4a39b33</Data> <Data> </Data> <Data> </Data> </EventData> </Event> Cheers, Tom
January 17, 201511 yr Hi Tom, just purchased EZdoc 2 days back, ran version 1.15, then updated to 1.16 and tried it and finally updated to ver 1.17. All going ok , howevever did have some minor problems along the way. Down to still having some joystick events in controls that I had not removed. I have ch yoke, pedals, saitex52 joy and pro trim wheel, had some joystick events in them all for some season, Did you run as admin when installing and also did you run the config utillity before starting fsx. I did watch quite a few youtube video's before attempting to set up the camera views. Hope this helps. Bob
January 17, 201511 yr Author When I first installed Ezdok I didn't run it as admin, so could that be the problem ? And it was on so 1.15 so I updated it to 1.17 to see if it fixed the issue but nothing. I did however run the config before opening fsx and that also didn't solve my problem <_< Thanks Bob for the reply Bob, I just had a look at the Ezdock config and went to registry componets, when I clicked on it I received this error (one after another). "The module "ezccconnect.dll" was loaded but the call to DllRegisterServer failed with error code 0x80040200" "The module "dx8vb.dll" was loaded but the call to DllRegisterServer failed with error code 0x80070005" I'm not to sure if this is associated with the reasons why the addon isnt fuctioning properly, so would you know anything about this
January 17, 201511 yr Sorry Tom can't help you with that, sounds the best way is to uninstall and reinstall, don'forget to open up the config utlity first and click on restore/reset before unninstalling, there may be some entries in the camera aircraft.cfg files that will require removal as well. And in the camera .cfg file in your user accont, app dat..roaming..ms..fsx. Bob Ps edit run the config utility as admid as well after the reinstall.
