January 19, 201511 yr I have a nasty problem Due to a download of a virtual airline, my splashscreen and the ones after it during startup fsx are ruined. So I went to the UIRES file but there are a lot of changes and I dont know how I can get rid of it. Is it possible to delete the whole uires file so fsx makes a new one. Or how can do it in another way. I have bought the fsx download from steam and dont know if I can download it again and maybe I lose all the addons. any help would be appreciated. I could not find an uninstall or removeble file from the VA paula
January 19, 201511 yr Moderator Logon to Steam, then run the Validate against your FSX:SE program. It will automatically fix any problem files. Fr. Bill AOPA Member: 07141481 AARP Member: 3209010556 Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator

January 21, 201511 yr Open the Steam Library and right click top left on Microsoft Flight Simulator X: Steam Edition. Choose Properties and click on the Local Files tab. Click on the Verify Integrity of Game Cache button and let Steam do its work - wait for any downlloading to finish and then try FSX:SE again.
January 21, 201511 yr Moderator Thanks, Alanch. I knew what to do; just not the specifics of doing it... Fr. Bill AOPA Member: 07141481 AARP Member: 3209010556 Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
January 21, 201511 yr Author Thank you both, it works again although a slight of a problem yet. All fsx-steam screens are correct only the learning center is still with a popup screen from the virtual airline and the learning center cannot be approached. any idea how I can get rid of that one? paula
