Slow Navdata base load on PMDG

Featured Replies

Could use some advice here. Recently, when i load the PMDG NG737, when it loads the NavData base, it take's about 5 min. When i was trying to load the aircraft for a flight from IAH-DAB and it took over 10, i knew something was wrong. Anyone know what i should do? It used to load in under 4 seconds, now it takes 10 min. So, what could be wrong? Thanks in advace! :-wave

I have never timed loading the PMDG but it has always taken over 4 seconds but never as long as 10 minutes. All I can suggest is backing up your current data and put it somewhere safe, delete it from the PMDG folder and then reinstall the latest data from Richard's site.It may just be that you now have more SIDs & STARs than before and I'm not sure if a change of graphic settings will affect the load time.Hope that is some help.

Did you recently install something else that would take a long time to load? Like Megascenery, etc.?The Nav database seems to load at the same time as scenery files, so might be something else that is actually slowing it down, but just looks like the Nav database.Matt

Maybe download a new pmdg navdata file from the navdata website? Mine takes a little while, about a minute, but only because there are so many things to load!
