February 4, 201511 yr As I understand it, the vertical field of view with wide aspect set to true is 34 deg. Can this be changed? I know you can create a new window and override the fov but when you do the zoom changes. Zoom is a magnification and carries distortion with it. I want to change the fov (for a large screen) and still be able to maintain a zoom of one? Is this possible? Terry Dewberry
February 4, 201511 yr Hello: There is a separate and less well documented visual field of view adjustment in MSFS / P3D refrerred to as "Chase Distance", which can be implemented in a live flight session via {Ctrl -} and {Ctrl +}. "Chase Distance" reportedly cannot be stored and recalled from ex: a 'saved flight', or from a custom Camera view in a 'Aircraft.Cfg' ...without use of a specially written FS module or gauge. Fr. Bill Leaming (aka "n4gix") wrote one of the first such FS Gauges able to implement settings for "Chase Distance" as a part of the EagleSoft payware aircraft product line. Another such FS module is the freeware WheelCam 2.7 multi-function add-on by Gunnar Daehling (I haven't tested this in P3D yet): http://library.avsim.net/search.php?SearchTerm=wheelcam_2_7_setup.zip&CatID=root&Go=Search http://flyawaysimulation.com/downloads/files/18852/fsx-wheelcam-utility-v27/ Hope this helps ! GaryGB
