Hi,

 

For my last flight I chose the "Fly Full ILS Approach r/w XX" option and was told to report in at "white" (not sure what that is).

 

However the VOX box just said "Fly ILS approach" and I didn't get handed over to tower. In the past I'm pretty sure I was given the tower frequency and was able to report in after flying my selected approach.

 

So I basically landed and taxiied without ATC and the box still said "Fly ILS Approach"!

 

Anyone seen this?

I belive you should have reported to the approach controller once you passed that approach Point "White", only then will they hand you off to Tower control. VoxATC depend on in my opinion a rather static structure. You need to follow every step for VoxATC to move on to the next process, no logical thinking there

 

IFR flights in VoxATC works great in my opinion most of the times if you just follow every single step.

I agree and am familiar with the reporting in, but my point is there was no prompt in the comm box.

Normally it tells you what to say and when.
