DX10 mode does it increase sim performance?

Recommended Posts

I have not used DX10 mode, I know of the DX10 fixer but I am just wondering if DX10 adds FPS or does it just make the visuals better but no performance gain? Is there any performance loss using DX10 mode?

I've upgraded my graphic card, switched to DX10, apply the Steve fixer, got some tips on the Nvidia inspector setup. My FSX came back to a new life with all that VAS issues gone...that i've experienced before DX10. I have a better quality now, shadow effects are cool, i can fly any high end payware aircraft (PMDG, Captainsim, Majestic, Aerosoft, BlackBox, Ifly, etc...) you can throw using Taxi2gate sceneries without OOM, CTD, etc...

Some do and some don't. It is machine specific and just take a few minutes to test things out.
