Can't access 'create a flight'

HiFor a month now I have been unable to access the 'create a flight' menu. I start at the saved flight section and have to load any saved flight then make my selctions from within a fligh. If I try to access 'create a flight' FS locks up. Only doing a system restore will allow FS to work again.I thought it might be because of the number of aircraft in the folder (most are AI), but removing all but the default made no difference.Ever heard of that!Graeme

Rename the fs9 cfg file and it'll build a new one for you.

thanks!

I had exactly the same problem. System restore and removing the cfg file didn't help. In the end I had to re-install FS2004. Most likely an FS-related file had become corrupted. Best regards, Chris

nope, didn't work for me either. Not sure I'm up to reinstalling at the moment!Graeme

Hi Graeme,I'm not saying this is what has happened but,I had a similar experience several months ago.I use the 'Fly Now' icon within 'Add-On Manager' which temporarily alters the .exe for FS9.Now what I was doing was closing 'A.O.M' before finishing the test, fly now facility resulting with the next time I booted up FS9 it went straight for the last flight scenario. I don't know if you have done this or used another program that faciltates a similar system? One of the most simple way's of remedying it is to click 'start/microsoft games/FS9/Load default' that way you will be able to recover the situation and carry on as normal.I hope that this is of some help?Dave T. .........On the lovely warm Devon Riviera and active 'FlightSim User's Group' member at http://www.flightsimgrpuk.free-online.co.uk/

If already in a flight - select "END FLIGHT" From the menu.-OR-To have it start as the opening screen.. Open up FS9.CFG and under the {STARTUP} section change SHOW_OPENING_SCREEN=0 to SHOW_OPENING_SCREEN=1.Regards,Roman
