HowTo: Use FSX-SE (Steam edition)

Since version 2.6 of SIMstarter we are compatible with FSX-SE.
 
You can run either FSX or FSX-SE with SIMstarter at the same time, because SIMstarter is using the same SIMstarter profile files for FSX and FSX-SE. Therefore we need to switch SIMstarter FSX into FSX-SE mode:
 

Step 1: Go to "Program settings" > "FSX" and make sure that "FSX Mode" is selected. There will be no FSX-SE mode:
 



Step 2: Click "Use FSX-SE instead of FSX". A pop up will ask you if you are willing to overwrite your existing profiles. This can be accepted if your are running FSX-SE only. If you are running FSX and FSX-SE in parallel to need to decide to use FSX or FSX-SE in one instance of SIMstarter. After clicking "yes" and "SAVE and EXIT" all configuration settings of FSX-SE will be imported and FSX-SE is ready to use.
 


Step 3: Make sure that you are in FSX-SE mode.
FSX-SE will be indicated at the top bar of the dialogs and on the right hand side.
