Simmers Sky MD 11

Featured Replies

Can anyone let me know what the Sinners Sky MD11 is like? Thanks

Sorry. That should be SiMMers Sky

The VC version of the SimmerSky MD11 is an awesome freeware offering. I've even made a special sound set for it... :-hah You have a great external model, very nice VC, and a great FDE. What more could you ask for for free???I only use the aircraft for FEDEX runs...

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super OC 16GB - Pimax Crystal Light VR

Where can I find a good panel that integrates with the VC? I love the airplane, awesome freeware offering!

Any panel will work (although it's up to you which MD11 panel you likt), all you need to do is copy over the VC entries located in the 'panel.cfg' file. Look for entries like this://--------------------------------------------------------[Vcockpit01]Background_color=0,0,0 size_mm=512visible=1pixel_size=512texture=$ctr1gauge00=PAPMD11_v2!Primary Flight Display, 0,0,512,512

I love the Simmers Sky MD-11. The VC works fine right out of the box, for me. The RXP Jetline 4 dropped right in there, and I use it a lot for long hauls.Great package!

I was looking for better quality gauges to use in the VC as well. And a good panel recommendation? Thanks!

good external modeland FDE and very good VC.Guy

Get the repaint sms_md11_fedex.zip if you're a FedEx fan! Just copy but don't overwrite the textures from the base model to get the VC textures to display!

The best panel available is Alain Capt, which can be found in fsnordic.net.The only problem is that the Alain Capt panel is not configured to work with the Virtual cockpit, adding side views bms and changing the wp in such a way that the virtual cockpit is viewed as if you were standing on the front window.I modified those files to look properly, although you won't be able to see Alain Capt moving map in the Virtual Cockpit. I probably should ask for his permission to upload the file, but meanwhile I can send the config and some instructions by e-mail.Anyone interested ask for these files at [email protected]

I understand Alex... It looks like all the info I entended to copy over didn't go through. This was what I ment to show you as reference....//--------------------------------------------------------{Vcockpit01}Background_color=0,0,0 size_mm=512visible=1pixel_size=512texture=$ctr1gauge00=PAPMD11_v2!Primary Flight Display, 0,0,512,512You can replace "PAPMD11_v2" with whatever PFD gauge you like. Be careful as you choice in gauges can also effect your VC's performance. I'll be glade when all add-ons get up to speed with what RealAir is producing... :-)

If you are looking for the original AC, look in Google for Overland MD11. The first link that appears and it is all ?????? is the right one. Appears that way because it is Japanese writing.Click on the ??????????? and you'll access the download page which has the different models.Leo
