March 12, 201511 yr Author Hello Ric (Capt.) With your specs. you should have little trouble in P3D. I have removed FSX and am now only using X-Plane and P3D 2.5 I've jumped completely on board now that PMDG have joined the fray The only real drawback as far as I can see is the frequent updates which means that you may have to install from time to time - for me patches never worked and I seemed to clean install more than patch. Thank you for your input, I will probably take the plunge. Sitting poolside contemplating the water temp, just a bit more nerve and I am in. Ric Elmore
March 12, 201511 yr With ASN the graphics blow away FSX. I had switched to the DX10 fixer not long ago and was loving the FSX graphics. The step up is really nice.As for the PMDG dilemma. They have stated the purchasing (or repurchasing in my case had all of them for FSX) cover P3D upgrades through 3.xxx and the pending 64bit upgrade. It makes it worth it to me since their aircraft are unmatched. Richie Walsh
