March 16, 201511 yr Commercial Member Many of you are using the very powerful "SceneryConfigEditor" (LINK) to manage scenery.cfg.This how-to will show how to use them together with SIMstarter. Logic: We will have different source files "Germany_Scenery.cfg", "VFRscenery.cfg" and would like to use them with the right SIMstarter profile.Naming convention does not matter for the source file name. They must end with ".cfg". STEP 1: Open SIMstarter > Profile configuration > ScenerySet > Select "Use external scenery.cfg" STEP 2: Choose a source file. Filename not needed to be named "scenery.cfg" STEP 3: This profile is using this source file now and copy it to %ProgramData%\Microsoft\FSX\scenery.cfg (in case of other plattforms another path will be used) This logic works in "Jumpstart" as well. ;O) : : : aviation.pero-online.deDeveloper of SIMstarter NG P3D & Homecockpit Builder
