They have taken the whole "flagship" concept to the absurd. The desktop market is not where innovation is anymore and nVidia is scrambling to prevent themselves from being marginalized.

 

Why do you think that Titan X cards are in such short supply? It's because nVidia can't find chip fabs that have any capacity to turn out the GPUs in quantity. They are all too busy with more important cell phone clients.
