June 16, 200520 yr ASV is much easier to work with if one has a a third party flight planner. I've looked at 2 that are here at avsim library. Anyone have any recommendations? Thanks. Mike
June 16, 200520 yr Author Hi Mike,I would recommend FSbuild 2.0 as a "must" have flight planner. It provides a link with AS4.5 (I'm sure will be updated to ASV) that allows winds aloft to be used in flight planning. A major feature is the ability to export compatible flight plans with every major flight simulator (fs9,xplane,ps1 etc) and third party aircraft(F1 ATR, PMDG737NG, LDS 767 etc.) Ernie (the author) is accessible via his forum and quickly answers questions. If you are really anal (like me) then Flight Operations Center (which I also use) provides a very sophisticated and complex planner for detailed planning. I hand develop each of my flight plans and use both (FOC and FSBuild) to create very accurate flight plans relative to aircraft, time en-route, fuel burn and winds aloft. Have fun!Bob... Bob Prince
June 16, 200520 yr First time I've noted the name FOC. Could you point me to the source? I'd like to look at it and get its description. Thanks
June 16, 200520 yr FSBuild does not need to be updated to handle ASV. Just make sure you have the latest beta build (FSB 2.2) and point your FSBuild AS2004 option to your ASV folder. The winds will be integrated into the planner.Bruce

I like it! :)Bob.... Bob Prince
