P3d sceneryconfigeditor

Featured Replies

Hi all

I have linked my P3D scenery cfg to scenerycongifeditor but it reads that Orbx OpenLC is installed when it isn't ?

Is there any way to fix this ?

Thanks :)

If the scenery is enabled, it should show an error. If it shows disabled, then simply delete the area(s). This usually happens when you disable the scenery via the sceneryconfigeditor or through the Scenery Library. This is why Orbx wants to make sure you disable their stuff through their programs and not via the sceneryconfigeditor or Scenery Library.

First, how do you "link" your scenery.cfg to "scenerycongifeditor"? If we talk about the same Scenery Config Editor, it reads/loads the Scenery.cfg file. So, then you must have Open LC installed. Easiest way is to open SCE and delete the scenery from the list.

Jim...

Where in ORBX do you disable their sceneries?

I loaded it up and pointed towards my P3D scenery cfg unless it's reading the old fsx one

Ok I understand, you mean you have specified the PATH to your scenery.cfg. But still, IF the SCE finds the Orbx OpenLC sceneries they MUST be installed. If NOT you should get a red error marking in the menu to the right. Click on the OpenLC scenery area and you should see the path to the scenery. Are we talking about Open LC Europe (as far as i know there is no other Open LC)? If so you must have 12 entries in the scenery area list!!!!

Well the scenery.cfg that you have loaded into SCE doesn´t have the right paths to the sceneries, therefore the program tells you that it can NOT find them.

Go to the menu "File" and "Open other". Open scenery.cfg and see what it looks like, After that open scenery.cfg.sce and look at that file. You can also check OldScenery.cfg or Scenery.cfg_ORBX_Backup.cfg and se if ANY of them looks right. IF there is, save that as scenery.cfg

If that doesn´t work use Explorer and DELETE scenery.cfg, start your sim and let P3D/FSX rebuild the scenery.cfg. By doing that the scenery.cfg will have the entries valid for your sim.
