P3D Night Lighting

Featured Replies

I find at Dawn (like FSX) the night lighting doesn't stay on long enough and at Dusk it doesn't come on soon enough, FSX had this problem. Sometimes during the transition periods its way way to dark to not have night lighting. Anyways, is there a way to adjust this in P3D?

Cheers!

REX 4 Texture Direct improves these transitions significantly.

Also make sure that:

Some people have turned this setting off (0) to improve performance.

Thanks!

So REX 4 makes the light's come on earlier and stay on later?

I wouldn't have thought REX would have anything to do with the Night Lights but it does?

I use REX Ess + OD and Soft Clouds, so whats the difference, its a lot of money for me to upgrade to REX 4 I would imagine.

Cheers!

I Have REX 4 TD and I can't honestly say whether the dusk and dawn periods match reality. But the transitions themselves in REX are far more realistic than in the default sims.
