Can someone please explain me the differences between FTX Global base and FTX vector, and if they can be installed at the same time. Thinking of buying them.

Just so you know: GLOBAL first, then Vector

Global is just new textures and Vector improves things like roads, and shorelines, river boundries etc.....Go visit the page Neal mentions and it will tell you all about the various scenery layers.
