>For those of us that enjoy 2D panels, the Tomahawk and 152>work fine for me on my system. I really don't get bent up on>missing an animated prop. :-lolHa! Sonar, I've skipped over that 152 at Carenado so many times; I used to fly it all the time in FS2002 and have been waiting for a decent version for FS9. But, encouraged by you, I've just loaded her up and you're right; there's nothing lost by missing a prop. All else seems to work, and the flight dynamics seem to have survived the move to FS9.I do the same with many of my old DC-3 liveries from FS2002; when you're in full plane spot view in cruise, you hardly see the props anyway, and most of the time, I fly in the cockpit. Seems sensible, somehow ....So thanks!Mark "Dark Moment" BeaumontVP Fleet, DC-3 AirwaysTeam Member, MAAM-SIM[a href=http://www.swiremariners.com/cathayhk.html" target="_blank]http://www.paxship.com/maamlogo2.jpg[/a]

Your welcome Mark. That is what makes this thread so great, in my opinion. You can usually come back and find something "New To You".I think visually that 152 is one fine aircraft that works very well in FS9, and it's a fun little aircraft to fly, or even for someone to practice procedures in if they are taking lessons.I did all my initial training to PPL in a 152. And for me, that plane will always have a soft spot in my heart.Glad you're enjoying it.Regards,Joe

Donny AKA ShalomarFly 2 ROCKS!!!Since I've gotten more into multiplayer enhanced .air files for default aircraft have become attractive. Yes, the Freeware made from scratch Cub is great, but if I'm flying with my door open anybody who doesn't have it- or the particular paint job- will think I'm just stupid- They'll see me in the aircraft they are in (like a Turbocommander or Airbus) flying with the door open! This link has enhanced .air files for almost every default plane except heavies, historic and choppers. Plus a few extras, including the PCXII which you might be able to alias to the AFG freeware even though it was written for Flight 1.http://homepage.iprolink.ch/metzger/index_e.htmlThis is the Falcon 50, updated for 2004. I have always thought this was a cool plane. There was one mistake made in the conversion process, the inlet area is 4.4 which was not Rob Young's original value. Open the aircraft .cfg and change it to 1.4 - this is not a mistake on Rob's part, it got messed up in the translation from the previous version. You also might want to modify your FS9 .cfg to allow the use of FSSound.dll. If you don't just click yes when you get prompted every time if you want to load it when you fire up FS9.NOTE: There are a few things Rob admits ain't quite right that he did the best he could within MSFS constraints, but before you complain about the performance remember this: This aircraft was concieved in response to the energy crisis as a replacement for the Gulfstream which the manufacturer thought corporations wouldn't want to pay the fuel for anymore. The reason they put three engines into a plane that was supposed to be more efficient was so the number two could be shut down in cruise. (the idea did not catch on with flight crews:-) Since this aircraft has three engines, it loses 33% of its power in a failure and does not need the phenomenol reserve climb rate twin jets have usually. Instead it is optimised for efficient cruise and has good short feild abiliity for its size and its day.http://www.francevfr-us.com/files/falcon50...ll_falcon50.exehttp://www.francevfr.com/contenu/avions/eda_falcon50_doc.pdfThe only way I got these links was by cutting/pasting someone else's post. I'm lousy at links, but I will start my own thread with just filenames, sites and authors.Best Rgeards, Donny:-wave

Hey Joe, FSCamera 1.5?? AWSOME!! I used to have Active Camera but lost my key and did not want to spend money on it second time, as it would end up being $30.00 instead of $15.00. I seem to do that alot with my software when stupid me neglects to back it up, and it starts to get costly after a while. Anyway, I tried flyby20.zip, but FSCamera seems closer to what I had. Flyby is a neat little module, just not for my personal tastes. I am going to install FS Camera tomorrow. I can't believe I missed all of this great freeware, as I am on AVSIM 10-15 times a day, or more! (It's that sickness as my wife calls it) Thank you for sharing your links with us and thank you to the creators for taking the many hours they put into this wonderful addiction.....I mean hobby. Did I say that out loud?;) LOL Best regards, Jeff Thanks again!! :-beerchug

Hi there,An incredible set of add-ons from the real heroes of Flight Sim-the freeware developers!!May I just add the name Hauke Keitel whose Ju90 I saw above but who has also done some others-available from FlightSim and Simviation- the Focke Wulf FW200 airliner and Heinkel 111c 10 seater (which to my untrained eye looks a bit like a Boeing 247) are two more of his and both beautifully done. Many thanks to all of you who energise our hobby so brilliantly.Andy
