737ngx how to close single throttle

Featured Replies

Hi, I am trying to practice engine failure procedures in VC. When right clicking the throttle of engine no. 1 lets say, it will slowly retard to it's stop then shoot back to the full thrust position. What is the correct way to manipulate a single throttle quadrant either in VC or via the keyboard?

Cheers

I use my middle mouse button seems  to work  ok for  me  Or  you could just press  e+1    or   e+2  if  the right throttle  and  when you move  your throttle only  the throttle  that you have selected  will only  move.  To go back to move both you need to press e +1+2  together

Do you have the A/T armed? If it is the case, both engines are controlled by the autothrottle, hence the thrust lever being brought back to the thrust ref.

Have you tried switching autothrottle off?

On the T7, there are two independant switches for the engines allowing the autothrottle to control engines separately in case of failure but only one for the NG. Can't remember the real engine failure procedure but my guess is that if one engine fails, you have to swith the autothrottle off and control the other engine manually.
