I brought from FSX a habit of setting Affinity Mask in the configuration file.  However, I saw some posts at the L-M forum that suggested P3D does it's own adjustments and I've been giving it a test.  For dozens of hours now, I've been running P3D with latest hotfix and ASN beta with PMDG NGX and B77X aircraft and lots of Orbx scenery and FS Global mesh. The result for me is there is no perceptible difference between the optimum AF (254 for 4 core w/HT) and no AF.

 

I was wondering if others have done this trial as well, just to ensure I'm not missing something obvious.

 

Footnote:  I have the i7-4790K stock clock 4GHz.  I use process explorer to kick ASN off core 0.
