April 7, 201511 yr really newb question. I only fly in one country. (NZ) I have the orbx NZSI and NZNI regions installed, do I get any benefit by also getting base and vector installed? or is that only to improve regions that you dont have specific packs for?
April 7, 201511 yr (...) or is that only to improve regions that you dont have specific packs for? This. NZNI and NZSI already include ground textures, vector data, mesh and so on. You could consider FTX addon airports like NZQN and NZMF, though. What happened to AVSIM

April 12, 201511 yr Author Some of the Godzone New Zealand airports are compatible with the Orbx New Zealand North and South Islands. I use Tauranga and Nelson. Gary thanks that was another question i had, I found an Ardmore airport addon, its just a 30kb bgl file, is that able to be loaded over top of orbx? The orbx airport is actually pretty good but not perfect, was interested to see if this one was any better.
April 13, 201511 yr I don't know the Ardmore product and, thus, don't know the answer to your question. I assume that it is a freeware airport. You might try asking the question in the Compatibility sub-forum on the FTX/Orbx Forum. In the case of payware airport products, I have found that many developers make mention of FTX/Orbx compatibility. In the case of Godzone New Zealand products, my recollection (it is about 18 months since I bought products from there) is that the product website is very upfront on the aspect of compatibility, indicating which of its products are compatible for the FTX/Orbx New Zealand scenery and offers either a separate compatible download version of an airport or a compatibility patch. Also, see whether anything in the pinned topic Orbx compatible freeware addons at the beginning of this sub-forum is any help to you. Gary
