Traffic Files causing CTD?

Featured Replies

I have been experiencing annoying CTDs every time I go anywhere near Paris. In frustration I reinstalled FS2004 only to get the same problem as soon as I loaded a saved flight in the area -even the flight itself would not reload. Then I took out all scenery files including traffic and mesh and reloaded again - with success this time. The minute I put back my traffic files I CTD immediately as before. I have started putting them back one by one to find the culprit and so far have replaced 20 or so without getting another CTD.My point is that I have not heard of traffic files causing conflict and I wonder what the reason could be? Maybe I have a bad texture in one of my AI aircraft folders? In that case though why would I only get difficulties in the Paris area?Interested to get some feedback on this issue.ThanksJohn

Check for duplicate AFCAD's for airports in the area. You're on the right track trying to pin the cause of your CTD's down. Know it can be frustrating though. Good luck.Jim

I've had CTDs with a traffic file. I'm pretty convinced it was the FP, because I've had issues with other files from the same author, and all the textures and aircraft were okay.Todd

Re-name the BGL for that airport and see if that cures it. CTD's are usually caused by duplicate AFCAD files.Joe W.
