June 26, 200520 yr Hi captains!Let's say we are very spoiled (remember FS95's clouds?...)with clouds and sky envelopes since Flight Environment has been released.I love it and always use their randomizer before launching FS.Perfect clouds, fantastic sky colors, beautiful water reflections and such a sexy interface!Like a lot of us I also use Active Sky since its first version and I am so grateful to Damian Clark for his fantastic piece of software.Naturally, I've upgraded to FSV and I never fly without it.Now...Chris Willis...Here is a gentleman that offered us since FS2000 his great talent with the best clouds ever made and the most spectacular sky envelopes for FS.So!! here are my questions:1) If I launch FE's randomizer followed by ASV, how can I use ASV's ICS option without using Chris clouds?2) How can ICS change clouds after FS have been launched? (textures are loaded together with the sim and can't be changed as far as we don't relaunch FS)3) Did someone seriously compare Chris clouds and FE ones (beauty, fluidity, transparency, fps...) and can say that one set is better than the other? I personnaly love them both and didn't notice yet any problem. Thanks for your answers and thanks for the developpers of such quality addons.best regards,David in Jerusalem
June 26, 200520 yr Hi David,1. Under Options/Active Environment choose ICS+last sky/env2. Because we figured out how to reload cirrus textures right now.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg

June 26, 200520 yr >3) Did someone seriously compare Chris clouds and FE ones>(beauty, fluidity, transparency, fps...) and can say that one>set is better than the other?Yes, I launched the whole thread on the subject. I did not find much difference in performance, however FE's DXT3 clouds are better performing. Chris is going to give us DXT3 clouds soon.Michael J.WinXP-Home SP2,AMD64 3500+,Abit AV8,Radeon X800Pro,36GB Raptor,1GB PC3200,Audigy 2http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/747400.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_beta_member.jpg Michael J.
