Hi Ric, Have you been able to reproduce it, if so, can you send me the active METAR at the time of engine start? Thank you! Keven Menard Technical Director, //42.
April 22, 201511 yr Author Hi Ric, Have you been able to reproduce it, if so, can you send me the active METAR at the time of engine start? Thank you! I'm in the office right now, I'll do that as soon as I can and yes I can reproduce it every time. Do you think the right landing light flashing may be instrumental? Ric Elmore

Hi Ric, In the 777 Immersion User Manual supplied with the Install utility, you will find the correct weather conditions required for the smoke to show: ENGINE COLD START SMOKE Igniting the engine in a cold environment may cause a condensation vapor cloud to occur when the temperature is below -5°C (23°F). The colder it gets, the more the effect will show. Let me know if a temperature of less than -5*C does the job! Thank you! Keven Menard Technical Director, //42.

Thank you! Thank you for your help, i thought that might be the issue since all other effects work and well i might add. I am having trouble finding the manual. Is there a way to test the effects manually to check them? Ric Elmore

If you use FSX or P3D, you can select the desired weather condition in the weather menu. Keven Menard Technical Director, //42.
April 25, 201511 yr Author Let me know if a temperature of less than -5*C does the job! I took it down to -20*C and voila, smoke, beautiful smoke and because there was no wind it lingered a bit. Thanks for your help. Still get the flashing right landing light, must be an issue with PMDG. Ric Elmore
