system keeps reseting

hello.

 

strange one this.  nevre had a problem with my system but it keeps reseting, with no bsod, just resets.

It appears your power settings are corrupted. You have EventID 41 - Kernel Power Event. There are many possibilities for this crash.  If you shutdown your PC abnormally, it could have corrupted your Power.  To check those settings go to Windows Start button and type in Power and then look up in the Menu and click on Power Options.  Power Options is also in the Control Panel.

 

Your power supply could be going out.  They crash and burn periodically mainly because of no surge protection during a lightning storm or something like that.  So you may have to replace the Power Supply Unit that powers up your system.

 

You can also search the Internet for EventID 41 and there might be other solutions.  Maybe you'll see a similar situation where you accidentally shut down your computer or you held down the power button too long.

sorry to bother you again, I think your right its the psu about to go.  I loaded up the sim at CYVR in the PMDG 777 and its trying to load up and then ping, it restarts.

 

I have an asus mother board and when it rebooted the bios start screen advised "asus power surge detected" 

 

So im guessing thats the psu when under alot of stress ie loading up cyvr and pmdg 777 etc etc it craps out as had its day ??

 

what are your thoughts ??  once again Jim thanks for the help, youre a star !!! .

That should do it!  I have the Corsair 850 PSU and have had no problems with it since I got it two CPU's ago (rebuilt system twice w/same PSU).  When FSX or P3D are running, they take up a lot of resources.  I personally think FSX is a better benchmark program than some of the programs specifically made to check system stability.

 

Hopefully it works.  Your latest Event Viewer log does not indicate anything.  I like the AppCrashView program as it provides more information about a crash (see page 2 of the AVSIM CTD Guide for the link).

New psu installed today, a lot easier to install than the old one as the power leads where detachable from the unit itself.

 

I'd had the other one for 5 years and also in 2 rigs.

 

I've been running the system for 2 hours with no issues.

 

So once again mate your a hero. My offer still stands if ever you're over in the UK dinners on me. Thanks again

I have a Corsair HX520 dating back almost 6-7 years and it has been rock solid. They do make reliable PSUs.
