June 29, 200520 yr Man this is rediculous been over a month now and I still can't download any weather. :-( Is it possible to point to another weather server url? If so can you guys list some possible ones please.
June 29, 200520 yr I used FS weather update last night and a few nights before, it worked fine. Are you using a firewall, or proxy to access the internet? Perhaps it is being blocked. Perhaps try turning them all off, or exempting the link or port number for online weather. gice that a try, if you've done that then perhaps there is another issue you are encountering.Otherwise I can suggest purchasing a weather program since they do not use the MS servers. June 29, 200520 yr Thanks; I'll give it a try..although I've never had a problem before using a hardware/firewall. But that was with my old pc, now I have a new pc on the same home/Lan.
June 29, 200520 yr Just to get an idea of where the problem lies: with my firewall or with MS server. Can all those who have been having success using dynamic weather downloads. Please comment that they have used it in the last week continually without any problems. This will help me decide weather to purchase a new router/firewall hub. Or troubleshoot my aging compaq connectionpoint router
June 29, 200520 yr I used MS WX each day this week (except Monday); no problems. You may need to place the MS WX IP into your firewall as a trusted site and/or FS9 as a trusted program. I'm behind a software firewall (ZoneAlarm Pro) which maintains a list of software allowed access to the Internet.Larry S.

I think my router is on the blink, because it never gave me any problems with FS9 in the past. It's good to know that the site is up and running and people are using it on a regular basis. I hope it is not a regional access problem, since I'm in texas.
