May 14, 201511 yr XP was so insecure, I once had a fresh non SP install on a clean HD getting popups and virus the second it was connected to the internet - good riddance. I don't miss the days of helping bail out every friend or family with XP... I believe the average time was 15 minutes for a clean XP install. What's interesting though, is Windows now is one of the most secure commercially available OS out there. They've done amazing work to implement up to date security practices and still maintain backwards compatibility with applications. Something many vendors have struggled with. They really did learn from their past. I guess they had no choice Chris Smith
