May 22, 201511 yr Hi Guys, Couldn't see this mentioned before. Just tried my first approach to KDFW and discovered a small jungle on the runway. Anyone else seen this? I haven't seen it anywhere else. Running P3D 2.5, FTX Global, Vector (KDFW disabled in AEC) and Pilots mesh. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B737NjyuerZXTDlCenBHRmFwSGc/view?usp=sharing Thanks, Trevor.
May 23, 201511 yr What KDFW are you using? It appears to me that a flatten and land class are missing. Regards, Todd Harrell Computer: i7 3770k @ 4.6 GHz, 16 GB DDR3 RAM, GTX 1070 GPU, 750W PSU, 250 GB SSD (Win 7), 500 GB SSD (P3D), 2 x 1TB HDD, 28-inch Viewsonic 1080p monitor Sim: P3Dv3
May 23, 201511 yr The exclude and flatten terrain polygon mesh is missing. Typically, one would put these features in your AFCAD file to tell the simulator to flatten the terrain in a certain area regardless of what the terrain mesh data says and the exclude tells the simulator not to draw certain objects like autogen builds and trees. Your AFCAD appears to be missing this feature. As Todd said, your airport needs some AFCAD work done to it or a file is missing. May 24, 201511 yr Author Thanks Guys, I discovered that KDFW had been disabled by vector AEC. When I enabled it, all is as it should be. Also found excess greenery at KDEN and YMML (so far - maybe more to come). Both have also been fixed by enabling AEC. Trevor.
