Better FPS at flytampa Dubai than default berlin?!

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

Sitting on rwy or even anywhere in Dubai using

FLYTAMPA DUBAI rebooted with PMDG777

I get 30-40 fps easily ,

While taking off with same a/c from default EDDB

Or Rio I get 20-30fps

How is that possible to get more fps with much more complex and detailed scenery like

Flytampa?!!!!

My settings are reasonably high

MY specs

i7 4790k @4.4ghz

Gigabyte gtx970 soc

8gb Gskill ram

P3d installed on 60gb SSD

The city area of Berlin is very detailed. Depending on your settings, especially autogen buildings and vegetation, it's absolutely normal, that the frame rate drops! Sceneries like FlyTampa's fantastic Dubai are also heavily optimised and made with an eye on the performance.

So, in the case of EDDB, it's surely not the default airport that brings down your performance, but the surrounding city scenery.

Does that mean that orbx global could give me better fps in default scenery?

Does that mean that orbx global could give me better fps in default scenery?

No.  Global will just change the look of the performance killing autogen.  Global is just textures.  So your performance should be the same.
