I'm trying to figure out how to set the selector as part of my joystick options for an aircraft and wanted to know if there is a button  for this, or does it just have to be done manually in FSX?

There is a keyboard button option for Nav 1/GPS toggle that can be programmed for a keyboard or joystick button option.
