May 30, 201511 yr Is there a way to change the aileron sensitivity?. With this last version (1,6B), i find it too sensitive. I'm always unable to keep a correct heading when flying manual. Thanks. Regards Real Deraps
May 31, 201511 yr Im working with Marty Baclawski on improving the flight behavior, and the ailerons will be less sensitive...as well as a bunch of other adjustments to bring things a little closer to reality. it'll only be CFG fixes so if you don't like it you can simply discard and use the original again. I'll post back when we have it ready...shouldnt be too long. Dave Kalin Excel Classes Computer Lessons

May 31, 201511 yr actually...I was working on 1.6b...but now that he changed some of the dynamics in 1.7 I'll have to start all over again (if its necessary)...this will take some time. Maybe a week or 2...you really cant just throw out changes too quickly without alot of testing first. I may just end up waiting awhile before reworking this... until i can tell that there won't be anymore major fde changes officially released. Then re-evaluate to see if any modifications would be useful at that point. But to answer your question (so you wont have to wait)...you can easily change the sensitivity of the ailerons in the cfg by lowering the value for the entry called "aileron_effectiveness" under the "flight tuning" section...values range from 0-1 so if it's set at 1.0 trying lowering it 10% at a time until it feels better to you. In v1.6b I have it down to 0.6 or 0.7 (cant recall right now) which for my hardware settings gives a very close representation for the necessary amount of aileron control input as compared to the real plane. This may or may not work well for your current hardware sensitivity settings...it may (or may not) have also changed a bit for 1.7 depending upon what has changed there. Hope that helped a little.
