How do you guys install lens flares in P3D? It works seamlessly in FSX. I put the textures in the texture folder, edited cameras.dll and suneffects.dll... nothing works. I even put suneffects.dll in my %appdata% roaming p3dv2 area. All I get is the ugly default lens effect.

I hope you altered th cfg-files rather than the dlls

 

The standard P3D2 lensflare is activated in the settings menu in the lighting section. You will see the lensflare in the outside views only. If you like to see them in the VC view you have to activate them in the cameras.cfg. There you will find a line where it says something like show_lenseflare=flase. Set this to True and you should be good to go.

Yeah, I meant .cfg haha. Yeah. Like I said, I set up the cameras.cfg. show_lensflare=true and clipmode=minimum. thx tho... reshade is just a substitude for sweetfx/enb combo.. it doesn't do lens flares. Ill stick with p3d shading.

 Na thats is only have right as reshade along with the Mastereffects pack will give not only lensflares. They provide a wide variety of effects. Check this link out.
