FS Passengers Vs FS Hotseat Vs FS2Crew ATR

Featured Replies

I fly the Flight One ATR as my primary aircraft. I was just wondering if someone can comment on all three products:(1) FS Passengers Vs(2) FS2Crew (ATR to be released) Vs(3) FS HotSeat.Primarily how they compare in features. It appears there is some overlap in features ie Co Pilot calls interaction. What is realistic about the products and what is not? ie The pilot making the decision to serve drinks and food to the passengers is not real, flight attendants do that. It seems that FS Pax crosses over to running the airline while flying. Thanks!Barry

What about Flight Deck Companion, thats pretty good also.

Well the main response for FDC is that it is pretty outdated. FS HotSeat is easier to use.Barry

Well its better than those robotic voices in FSHOTSEAT.LOL

>Well its better than those robotic voices in FSHOTSEAT.>>LOL>Unless you buy some decent voices for it. However, FSHotseat has abysmmal support (go take a look at their forums to see that!).

Hi,Go with FS2crew... it's great. I own it for the PMDG.I don't own the others mentioned, but with FS2crew you are "forced" to do things exactly by the book. The first officer carries out some duties as well, as he would in the real world.I get the feeling that the other programs you talk of just add some sounds, reading out of checklists etc... FS2crew is much more than this... and with the ATR version promises to go even further.Paul

FSCrew is excellent and highly detailed. You have to follow correct procedures. The downside it is tied to a specific plane. Their is currently a version for the PMDG 737 and one for default and generic 737's. Their will be one for the ATR soon.FSPassengers focuses more on the business aspect of airlines. You can buy and sell aircraft. It gives you feedback on passenger satisfaction. There are some basic co-pilot interactions, but nothing like the others. Many folks are using FSPassengers with FSCrew or FDC.FDC and Hotseat are more generic but are very flexible. FDC uses pre-recorded voices, while FSHot seat uses the Microsoft speech generator. FSPassengers and FSHotseat both have free demos. It's possible the others do as well.Tony

Do any of the packages evaluate the flight itself?I beleive FS Pax does it.Barry

>Do any of the packages evaluate the flight itself?>>I beleive FS Pax does it.>>BarryHere is an example of the post-flight report from FsPassengers:Report:Flight Distance:254 Nm Landing Speed: 95.94 ktTime Airborne:01h23:32 Landing Touchdown: -126.2 ft/m (kiss)Flight Time (block): 01h49:44 Landing Pitch: 4.07

Can I try the demo with Flight Ones ATR? I don't particularily like the builtin 737.Has anybody done this? Is it difficult to do?Thanks!Barry
