Yeah they seem like a laid back bunch and not as uptight as others. The forums are freindly and everyone gets along. You can also post complaints and suggestions without having your head ripped off and doused with jet fuel. Go to PMDG or Level D and complain. I dare ya!

Greetings Alpha J!Problem solved. Phil sent me an email with a password, and re-enabled downloading for me. Thanks, AlphaSim, for helping me out!I'm still figuring out how to fully enable the "difficult" flight model. I installed the update and replaced the original air file and aircraft config with the advanced ones, but I think I have to regroup for I still seem to be in "easy mode". Being lazy, I started her up with ctrl-E (even in this shortcut it takes forever to start that endless row of engines! Beautiful!), applied a random bit of flap, let her spool up against the brakes, took to the air, cleaned up and flew around for half an hour. Fun! I even evaded a couple of imaginary SAM's by cutting power, laying her on her side, dropping like a brick, and recovering several thousands of feet lower. Thanks Drac, it was you who described this from real life! Didn't land her though, but quit the flight after half an hour of great enjoyment (which I didn't want to spoil by killing my virtual self and my virtual crew in a crash - grin!), and happily went back to work.Having only flown piston engined aircraft in both real life and (with maybe three minutes of exception) in MSFS, and knowing nothing about jets, I still must have been in "arcade mode", for NOBODY can take off and fly a Buff "just like that". So I'll browse through the documentation later on, and see what I (apart from already having changed the files) must do to enable the full difficult mode. I'm really enjoying this add-on, and it must be truly great to have to fly her by the book in order to even get her airborne!Drac, you compared her with a Greyhound bus in dire circumstances, and to me she's a reminder of my seafaring days in the second half of the sixties when, before the onset of automation, I had to stear some 18,000 tons of steel with the oldfashioned wheel. The Buff sloshes around the sky rather similar to a big freighter on an unruly sea, forcing the pilot/helmsman to think waaaaay ahead of the ship. Again: great fun! AlphaSim and Drac: please keep us posted about any honing, whittling, or tuning being done. I have great expectations.Be well!Jaap Verduijn.

Jaap,ROTFLMAO. You've made my day . Yep, that's how you beat those SAM's . . . and pray you can recover in time before ole terra firma comes around. On another note, Alpha has sent me two new files which I will try tonight and then report back to him and the group. It really is nice to work with an individual whom cares about the product and wants to be helpful in every way. Best to all, Clayhttp://www.dreamfleet2000.com/gfx/images/F...ers/Dopke01.jpgClayton T. Greetings Drac!Yep, good old earth comes up with great speed and enthousiasm! That bloody Buff drops faster than my high school grades after I lost my virginity and won the horniest girl in town (wide and wicked grin)! I read you loud and clear on Alpha, and I herewith retract with sincere apologies my remark "Bugger them!" that I made in an earlier posting. I was a bit eh... kind of... eh... irritated that moment (grin)!Be well!Jaap.

Hello Drac,The files you have received may cover this new addition to the Buff ---- quote from the AlphaSim forum page --- "New B-52 CoPilot & 2D wipers mod available now -- Now you can change seats! AND - the wipers now work on both sides, toggle them with a mouseclick top left (top right on copilot side)."http://alphasim3.com/Forums/viewtopic.php?t=1401:-beerchug You are not the first person to make mistakes in this fs9 game and I'm fairly certain, IMHO, that you and "Alpha J" would have a grand time over a tall foamy head of ale or two, indeed. We all do. That is, make mistakes, and I've promised him a round so I might as well add more chairs and get tables pushed together. This fs9 game is tricky for all of us so we all must have stories --- I have my supply.More than one new father has panicked at the sight of a newborn babe all wet and bald, leaving him wondering what to say and do. Ask any sweaty, tired mother at the moment of her babies first cry and her man's first look. You must give a few minutes of cleanup and wrapup in the tiny blanky, eh? Little baby will grow ----- a little faith goes a long way.Well, enough of waxing to a fine polish, I suggest you read the AlphaSim forum from time to time, register if you want, post if you feel you are giving a helping hand to all readers. There are pure beginners and some very advanced fs9 gamers.

Hello All, Well I do have to admit, I was convinced my friends 52 had been properly installed, until I began looking at the files and then was told he hadn't done the update -- and after uninstalling and reinstalling, the aircraft was obviously eons better.Alpha and I are going back and forth with files, and we are still having problems getting the '####' end up where Boeing intended it to be upon TO and landing -- however I have every confidence we will find the magic line of code and all will come around.Getting ready to test another set of files as we speak.Best,Clayhttp://www.dreamfleet2000.com/gfx/images/F...ers/Dopke01.jpgClayton T. I wish they updated their Hercules VC to be more clickable with better textures. I was disappointed at the quality of it, and unfortunately am not too anxious anymore about the captain sim version....

Hello All, On the subject of the C 130, I am beta testing the 'Herc' for CS, along with 8 zillion others,, and I can say that this release also has much promise. CS has finally let it's beta testers talk with each other, and the process is going very well so far. There are a handful of pilots involved, engineers and FO's who really know thier stuff. And, I do believe that this time CS is listening very well to what we have to say -- On another note, J and I are still trading files, and little by little, the Buff problems are being solved. Stay tuned, more to come later.Best,Clayhttp://www.dreamfleet2000.com/gfx/images/F...ers/Dopke01.jpgClayton T. Dopke (Clay)Major, USAF (retired)"Drac"

Greetings Drac!"(...) I am beta testing the 'Herc' for CS (...)"What is this world coming to (grin)?! Well, at least I trust you to be able of swiftly putting an end to any nonsense with a crowd who not too long ago, when some product was long overdue and several customers wanted their pre-paid money back, called them "betrayers" and stated that as "ex-soviet military" they knew how to deal with those, or words to that extend. What IS this world coming to (wide and wicked grin)?!Be well!Jaap.
