July 20, 200520 yr I'm completely addicted to my DF Beech A36 (together with Active Camera 2). I'd like to read everything about it there is to know! So, does anyone here know if there is some good stuff out there on the internet I could read and (even better) download (as pdf), like maybe a real PoH and stuff like that? I've already Googled but haven't found the ultimate WOW pdf yet... ;)
July 20, 200520 yr Most happy to hear that! :-)I found little or nothing back when we started the project, so it was off to Essco (http://www.esscoaircraft.com) for a copy of the real manual. However, maybe others have been luckier in finding information on the web and will share that with you.Regards,http://www.dreamfleet2000.com/gfx/images/F...R_FORUM_LOU.jpg
July 20, 200520 yr Well, if YOU didn't even find something, I guess that's it then... Guess I have to read the DF and Garmin manuals all over again (again) for a few times: I just GOT to read something Beech A36 related! ;)
July 20, 200520 yr $136 for a new POH? I'd stick with a PIM, I payed $27 for the Cessna 152, about $40 for a Piper Warrior III, about $40 for a Piper Cadet, about $50 for a Piper Arrow, and $66 for the Piper Seminole. Granted these are all aircraft I am flying or soon to be flying in the real world.----------------------------------------------------------------John MorganReal World: KGEG, UND Aerospace Spokane Satillite, Private ASEL 141.2 hrs, 314 landings, 46 inst. apprs.Virtual: MSFS 2004"There is a feeling about an airport that no other piece of ground can have. July 20, 200520 yr Yup, $136, that's what I paid for mine. Then I had to go buy another one for another $136 or so, but that was not for the A36. However, you do get a wealth of information with the POH, and that's I like when it comes to development. Even then, you still do not get all the answers!Well, now I have a nice, matched set of the two of them, in their nice dark-brown leather binders, with their tiny pages and charts that are hard to read!Yeah, the one I bought for my Dakota was about $40 or so. I keep that in my flight bag, as I cannot remove the one from the plane.Regards,http://www.dreamfleet2000.com/gfx/images/F...R_FORUM_LOU.jpg
July 21, 200520 yr Check Ebay. I bought my Baron manual from the same site for around $80-then got a mint, original one on ebay for about $25....http://mywebpages.comcast.net/geofa/pages/rxp-pilot.jpg Geofa WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE-the best Flight Sim!
July 21, 200520 yr Geez, my 172 POH is starting to look like a value now at $25!BTW Lou, I saw a drop-dead gorgeous red, white and blue A36 tonight on the ramp at KTTD where I'm taking lessons. It made me want to rush home and hope in your version!thanks,
July 21, 200520 yr Is it that it's a POH and not a PIM the reason for the cost? The POH is required to be in the plane, the PIMs are the ones we get to carry in our flight bags and take home. For those that don't know the terms I'm using:POH: Pilot Operation HandbookPIM: Pilot Information Manual----------------------------------------------------------------John MorganReal World: KGEG, UND Aerospace Spokane Satillite, Private ASEL 141.2 hrs, 314 landings, 46 inst. apprs.Virtual: MSFS 2004"There is a feeling about an airport that no other piece of ground can have. July 21, 200520 yr Author Pardon my asking, but would Mr. Betti share the subject of the other POH he purchased? I might have mis-read his post, (my apologies if this is so) but as I understand, it was not for the Beech. Guess I'm just trying to see what we can look forward to...:-) "... speed ... is the only reason for flying." - Clyde V. Cessna
