Autopilot

Featured Replies

Yes, I've compiled a list (which pretty much matches what's been written here). I will mention especially about the autopilot and the sounds. Unfortunately, it's not common for Carenado to do major fixes (which these would be - the sounds are "borrowed" from the 340 so geared to those engine parameters) so I'm not too optimistic. We'll see what happens.

Yup, dot dash (A) and dash dot (N). You know you're on course from one station to the next when you hear a steady tone. Talk about "precise" navigation, eh  ? Try flying a night cargo run using only the ranges in the summer when thunderstorms abound. You were lucky if you didn't come out deaf and so far off course you don't have a clue where you are  . I recently ran into a crew who refused to take a flight in perfectly clear air because their GPS wasn't working, even though they still had dual navs (modern) and an ADF. Man, must be nice.
