Additional tutorials for F1 C172?

Featured Replies

Does anyone know if there are any additional tutorials for the Flight1 C172 besides the one that comes with it? I'm looking for a set that's similar to the flight lessons included in FS9. Thank you.

I don't know of anything like that -- I have searched everywhere myself. I would love to get a good set of lessons - the MS ones are OK but could be much better and cover a lot more ground. The educational aspects of the Sim have been much neglected IMO and there is a gaping hole (using the Adventure programming SDK) that needs to be filled by some clever person.Barry

I posted at the flight1 forum requesting them to build on what they did with their C172R. I asked for IFR Lessons. But I guess..they could do more VFR stuff too.Don't know if they took this brilliant piece of advice.;)

Since the 172 is a beginner's aircraft and is used frequently in training I would think that there would be an extensive amount of tutorials for it or at least a more in depth manual. I love the aircraft but I really do hope to see some more supporting material from Flight1.

The Flight 172 is actually a `stripped out` version of a full flight simulation package that is under development, where the intention is to certify it for real training purposes. To provide the tutorials for this gaming product would probably impact on the development of the real flying training package so I don't expect you will get further material. But as all the tutorials in the default aircraft are perfectly valid for the F1 172, what EXACTLY are you hoping for?Basic tutorials for IFR and complex navigation are already available for practice in the sim, with any aircraft you choose.http://www.navfltsm.addr.com/index.htmAllcott
