July 14, 201510 yr Hey guys, I'm really busy trying to get the PT Tu-154B2 to work, and to get the automatic stabilizer to work, I have to be able to calculate the CG% of the aircraft from the default FSX Fuel & Payload menu. Does anybody know how to do this (may sound a little dumb or silly)? Rafael.
July 14, 201510 yr It's pretty basic, either use the fuel/payload setting from the free flight menu,or call a fuel truck (whilst in a session) by pressing Shift+F. The CoG is to the right of the fuel screen, which also shows a top down view of a plane. The CoG is represented by a box in the middle of the aircraft and moves based on the payload and fuel. However, this is a visual representation and it does not give any number or percentages As Always, Chris
July 14, 201510 yr Author Yes, that is what i ment. Because a little while ago i saw a video on YT (which probably has been removed), where you could read the CG in % off from the little figure in the FSX Fuel and Payload menu. I thought it was like this: the first '---.---' is 10%, the first bigger '--------.--------' is 20%, and the little stripes inbetween them are 2% of CG each. Can anybody confirm if this is true?
July 15, 201510 yr Author I finally found it. It's like this: The center of the circle is at around the 12th knotch up from the top. Then the calculation goes like this: 12/32x100 = 37,5% I I I this is the total amount of knotches in the screen.
