  1. Hey, I'm running into a problem with registering a account. Apparently, I need a account so it shows my payment # and such, but every time I try to enter a captcha , it always registers it as incorrect. I've redone it at least 50 times, typing exactly as it says in the image. But it's still somehow incorrect. Is there a way I can seek help without having to register a account?
  2. No, I don't believe I have Antivirus running. I'll see if I can file a support ticket, thanks for the suggestion!
  3. Hey guys, I need your help on this one... So yesterday, I bought Active Sky Next for FSX. The installation went smoothly, and had no problems. I fired up FSX, loaded the A2A Cessna 172 at KFHR, and was amazed at the quality of this addon. But here's the weird part... When I loaded the iFly 737, the game would load normally, but whenever I moved the camera, the game would pause for like 5-10 seconds and then instantly move the camera to the rough area I was pointing at. I then tried this with the Aerosoft A320,and I had the same problem. It's really hard to explain. Basically, whenever I moved the camera the game lags, and instantly points the camera in the position I wanted. And whenever I'm not moving the camera, the game runs smoothly, with a few stutters here and there. It's an extremely annoying problem, and I can't seem to find a fix for it. I've tried disabling the "Repeating overcast texture pattern fix" setting, and whilst it did solve the camera problem during one flight, it then appeared afterwards. The only way I can solve this problem is by not launching ASN. Of course that's not necessarily the fix I'm looking for. Any help is appreciated!
  4. Well unfortunately running the program as Administrator doesn't seem to work. I'll just head over to the support forums then. Thanks for the help anyways! Disregard my last post. I am not able to register as my email address is already in the system. I'm wasn't sure so I clicked for password help, but then the system didn't recognize the email address, even though I double checked what I typed.
  5. About two months ago, i purchased REX Soft Clouds. I havent touched it since, and now I seek to intall it. In the programs selection screen, I pick Set 01 and choose to install it. However, midway through the installation, this error message appears... LOG ALERT install.installIndividualFiles() - System.IO.DirectoryNotFoundException: Could not find a path of the path 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Texture\Texture\cumulus01.bmp'. at System.IO._Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorcode, String mabyeFullPath) at System.IO.File.InternalCopy(String sourceFileName, String destFileName,Boolean overwrite, Boolean checkHost) at System.IO.FileInfo.CopyTo.(String strCat, String strFolderNum) ... I am not sure as to what is causing the error, as I can see the cumulus01.bmp file in the folder. Any help is appreciated. Note- I'm not sure if I should be posting this in the main FSX forum. I was not able to find a forum for REX support, so this was the next best thing. Oh, I forgot to mention that for some reason, at the end of the installation, it says that it was successfully installed, but I see no difference in the clouds.
  6. It's pretty basic, either use the fuel/payload setting from the free flight menu,or call a fuel truck (whilst in a session) by pressing Shift+F. The CoG is to the right of the fuel screen, which also shows a top down view of a plane. The CoG is represented by a box in the middle of the aircraft and moves based on the payload and fuel. However, this is a visual representation and it does not give any number or percentages

Did you install FSX and the Service Packs in the same drive? And exactly what editions of FSX are you installing? If you have FSX Gold Edition, installing both Deluxe and Acceleration editions bring the service packs with them (Deluxe brings SP 1, and Acceleration brings SP 2) And make sure you install them in order, ie 1 is installed first, and then SP 2. And also run FSX, preferably as Administrator, after you install each SP. Hope this helps
  8. Well, I think there is two reasons for this- 1. Like the guy above me said, you might have accidentally hit Shift+P which triggers the pushback. If that's the case, just hit Shift+P to disable the pushback 2. You might be experiencing some sort of lag. I'm not sure how I can help solve that situation though... After reading the other posts, I think that the airports slope might be a culprit but I'm not sure. By the way, do you remember how fast you were going backwards? This might help in finding the problem..
  9. OK, disregard my last post. I finally got FSX to work. I did some research, and found out that it was the fault of a corrupted logbook. I've got no idea how WOAI would effect the logbook, but it somehow did. I fixed the logbook and everything worked perfectly. Now, I'm just faced with the grim task of reinstalling hundreds of addons. But thanks for the assistance anyways guys!
  10. Well the situation just got worst- Not even a complete reinstall worked!!! I have no clue what is going on! The sim won't even load the session as I previously described. The computer is definitely not at fault, so there must be some file that is corrupt. Can anyone assist me in this bizarre situation?
  11. Well, unfortunately I think I might have do a repair. I'm baffled at how such a delete can create such a mess. I've tried everything, I even deleted the trafficAircraft.bgl . If anybody can assist me, that would be great. I've downloaded soo much addons into this, and I'm worried I might lose them.
  12. Wait, I'd never knew ### AI was pirated!? Luckily I did not download it yet. But I did I hear about ### AI, also made by the same company, was definitely pirated freeware. And the developers claim that it is completely new and all that good stuff. Other than that, no I am not getting that spinning plane glitch. All I am seeing is my desktop, with the 'loading is 100% complete' pop up, but without its usual black background. Nothing happens and FSX mysteriously crashes without even starting the session. And that screen on the bottom of the free flight section, is completely black no matter what plane I choose. What I think is happening is that World of AI did not uninstall correctly, and somehow the format it's reading from is not acceptable? I'm not sure how to fix this problem, but it does seem like a quick fix can work.
  13. Looks like you are already in a good situation. As long as you have HIGHMEMFIX, you shouldn't encounter much problems. But a gentle reminder, don't go crazy with addons. I have a similar PC, and I can barely fly around New York City X (I've once even got 4.2 gb of VAS usage, and somehow did not crash). And it'll also be worth looking into how much VAS usage you get when fly around with addons. 4gb is the limit, and FSX usually crashes at that point. Otherwise, there's not much else you can benefit from, as it seems you are already in a good situation. Oh and also, you should try to limit your FPS. I set mines to 50 and I get 25-50 frames. And if you're really desperate, there is this addon from FSPS, I forgot what it's called, but it is worth looking into.
  14. This is probably obvious, but have you tried to move around the sliders in the settings? If you have a very good computer, try to move most of the scenery sliders *almost* to the right. Just play around with the settings until you're comfortable. And you might want to try that HIGHMEMFIX tweak in the Fsx cfg. Also, let fsx catch it's breath and don't try to do extreme things, like time compression, flying quick and low, etc. You have to give time for the sim to load the terrain. And finally, try using addon scenery. But don't use too much, or it will kill your computer. Hope this helped!
  15. I recently heard about a new freeware AI traffic addon, ### AI Traffic, and I decided to give it a try. I was using World of AI, but it was starting to show its age. So as usual, I tried to uninstall WOA. They recommended to delete airlines one by one. Unfortunately I had installed many airlines, and did not have the time, so I clicked the 'Remove WOAI packages' button. I did make a backup of the files, just in case. After the uninstall, I fired up FSX to see if the uninstall worked. This is where the problem comes in: FSX starts up fine, except that the screen on the bottom that displays the aircraft is completely black,no matter what plane I choose. Not only that but when I click 'Fly', I'm either greeted with no load screen at all, or just the 'loading 100% complete' pop up shows instantly. No matter what I do, FSX crashes in the loading screen. And now, it seems that the restore files don't work either. When I open up WOA, I click 'restore WoAI packages'. However a error message pops up... "Unhandled exception has occurred in your application... The given path's format is not supported" This is the only time I hit this error message. Anyways, I'm running this in Windows 8, and other addons. I have not installed ### AI Traffic yet. All I did was delete the WOAI files and directly went to FSX. Any help is appreciated. NOTE: AVSIM does not allow members to provide support for pirated software (### AI Traffic). The AI in the software was taken from other developers without their permission. 16. Yes, it's finally working now. The problem seemed to be that I did not notice that I had to do the pre-flight checklists. Again I'm sorry that I did not notice such a simple thing I had to do. But many thanks to those who tried to help me!
  17. OK, I think I've finally got it to work! I am now able to activate the autopilot. All I done was change some keys that allowed me to control the trim. And on top of that... well I've never realized that there is a button that activates the 'pre-flight' phase. Maybe that was what's causing the problem? I'm off to run some more test flights to prove this new 'theory'. I'm sorry for not noticing such a simple solution, but I do greatly appreciate the help you guys gave me.
  18. Yes, I understand what you mean but so far, I can only find FS2Crew as the culprit. I've looked into everything, yet nothing seems to be amiss. It's very strange that I am only able to activate the autopilot without FS2Crew activated. I have tried reinstalling everything which did not help. I don't know what else can be causing it. I have been changing the settings to see what happens but that does not help either. There is definitely something wrong going on here, but until then, it's safe to assume their might be miss communication with the aircraft and FS2Crew.
  19. OK, I have noticed something very strange. So today, as I was about to make a descent into San Francisco International, I've decided to give FS2Crew a go. I've skipped all the way to the decent checklist and 'activated' it after that. Of course I had the plane correctly set up, and to my amazement he did not interfere in any way with the autopilot. I had a successful descent and landing at KSFO. So this obviously means that in between setting up the plane and takeoff, FS2Crew is doing something that it is not suppose to do. It will be extremely helpful if someone can provide me details into EXACTLY what FS2Crew does.
  20. So I've been looking through my IFly 737 files, but nothing was missing. I've looked at the configuration/options, and I have noticed an option that allows me to inhibit yoke controls while the autopilot is engaged. Thing is, isn't that similar to just pressing the CWS button? I'm going to dig in to some more files, and see if there is anything amiss.
  21. Nope, nothing works. I've pressed it manually, did a full reinstall and it still does not work. What about those SDK, and Simconnect things you guys are talking about. Are those add-ons or are they built into the game? Maybe I can install them if they are add-ons, but their is no way I'm reinstalling FSX. I have major problems reinstalling FSX, and I downloaded so many add-ons and tweaked FSX to such a perfect state, that I doubt I'll be able to do all of that again.
  22. ... Nor did the reinstall. What am I doing wrong???
  23. ... Yep, that did not work. I still can't activate the autopilot. I'm probably just going to do a reinstall. I'll report back soon.
  24. Wait, you can see what key FS2Crew uses? The only keys I assigned for FS2Crew was 'E' and 'R'
  25. Hmm, turning on the autopilot myself does sound interesting. I might try it before I do the reinstall. Also, when I mentioned that problem on Ifly's autopilot, I'm referring to the fact that there is known problems with its autopilot, but they do have simple solutions.
