FPS difference between Majestic Q400 and PMDG 737 on P3D

Featured Replies

I was thinking about getting a PMDG 737, and I was thinking that there is probably a P3D  person that has both the 737 and the Q400 currently. I was wondering what the FPS difference is between the two aircraft. Reason I am asking is I get a solid 30 FPS with the Q400 and wondering if I get the 737 NG, if that will drop significantly?

[email protected] gtx760 - c.a. 20% fps drop depending on weather and airport.

Still both q400 and 737NG as well as 777 are perfectly flyable with shadows, hdr and dense scenery.

Q400 is a little better on FPS but A LOT better on VAS compared to the PMDG 737 and 777.

Here is a video from Majestic with the new HUD ... just in case you didn't already know ;)

Cheers, Rob.

The Q400 is much, much better on frames. Almost like a default aircraft!

The only thing to watch out for with either is that both have various subroutines operating outside the main sim environment. Things like FFTF, AM and Bufferpool settings and other magic tweaks to the .cfg can require very different setups with this kind of sophistry.

The plus point is that if your system already handles one, the other will be no trouble at at all.
