July 23, 200520 yr Hi,I have a tough problem I cannot solve. No matter what airplane I load, after the plane initializes, the master battery switches on plus one generator and the fuel tank select goes to right tank. I have tried dozens of combinations of resetting to the proper cold and dark positions and saving as default. Does not make any difference. Now I get an "Alt" warning when passing through 13,000 feet in the B200 (Aeroworks). I have deleted the FS9 config file and FSUIPC inits. No change. I am about to uninstall the whole shooting match and start over. Which will take several hours to un-install and re-install all the add-ons. I believe there is a corrupt or modified dll in the init sequence that is common to all aircraft and I can't find it.Any hints would be appreciated. Thanks. Bob... :) Bob Prince
July 23, 200520 yr Just a wild guess Bob but much simpler than a full re-install. You might want to take a whack at re-naming the cfg file and launching FS9 which will cause the cfg to be re-built.You will have to re-edit the cfg for any tweaks you might have but it may be worth a shot.Regards,Jim
July 23, 200520 yr Hi Jim and thanks. I tried that and no change. Something is executing after the plane is loaded and stabilized that turns the battery on, left generator on and selects the right fuel tank. Bob.... Bob Prince
July 23, 200520 yr Bob,only other thing I could think of is something in your default flight has these particular settings. Try going to the select a flight menu, selecting other, then selecting the meigs field flight. See if that has any effect.Steve
July 23, 200520 yr As Steve says, it will be some parameter carried over from the choice of startup flight. Create a whole new flight, using a default aircraft which has the `all` tank setting (that means NOT the Mooney) and all should be well. And your `ALT` warning in the Aeroworx King Air has nothing to do with battery or electrics. Read the manual! It's to do with pressurisation.Allcott
July 23, 200520 yr Hi,Thanks fellows. I have tried creating many combinations of default flights, resetting all switches and saving as the default. I still get the "gremlin" changing the switch positions. Is there a simulation exorcists in the house? :)Allcott,You are correct on the Alt warning and I do know better. :) I have been heads down with trying to solve an electrical problem and just added that as "another problem" late last night without thinking. LOL. Thank you.Bob.... Bob Prince
July 23, 200520 yr Author Hi,Just a guess,1 outcomment the aircraft and gauges folder and make a new aircraft folder.2. put the B747.cab in the B747 PANEL folder.3. put the b747 plane in the (new) aircraft folder.4. start the sim and experiment with the planes elec/gen switches and see what happens.5. as upstairs, new .cfg file and "hide' existing .flt files.6. put new, added module files somewhere out of the modules folder, use the default ones. You could use any default plane with the default gauges! If the gremlin still exists something weird is going on.If not start adding planes etc. and monitor when the gremlin is back.I once had the same problem (different planes) and solved the problem this way.(Was a strange elec config in a freeware addon)Hope it helps,Jan"Beatus Ille Procul Negotiis" Jan "Beatus ille qui procul negotiis..."
