Scenery.cfg file error

Featured Replies

Hi

Can someone point me out what to do next whit this message?

SCENERY.CFG file error. Local scenery directory (D:\NL2000Dir\nl2k.v_v4_libraries\SCENERY) in scenery area 125. 126. 127. 128 not found. Click OK to Contineu?

Thanks in advance.

It means that there are entries in the scenery.cfg file for which the scenery isnt found by the simulator. This can be duplicates, or the corresponding scenery folders might have been moved or deleted.

Go to the scenery.cfg, located at C:/program data/Lockheed Martin/Prepar3d v2, open the scenery.cfg file with Notepad and delete those entries and the error message should be gone. Probably the airports connected to those entries arent present in the simulator anymore, so you'd have to reinstall and they should be added to the scenery.cfg again and will be available in the sim.

Cheers!

Maarten

Eh, Hollander! :Big Grin:

And if you go to the scenery library and delete those entries there? Or you can check there if P3D assigns the right folder, by entering the folder destination again.

Cheers!

Maarten

Look in the scenery.cfg file itself.  The entries for those scenery areas will have a line something like:

Local=ORBX\FTX_OLC\OLC_EU1

It may also say "Remote:" rather than local and it may not have the location.  Just add the line "Local:" with the scenery folder location and delete the "Remote" line if there is one.

That is what fixed the same problem for me.
